C. Tyree PowellC. Tyree Powell constantly uses his varied skills and international experience in carving a niche for himself in today’s competitive global business market.

High School & College...
Joining the PDR Swim Team (featured in Pride) at the "late" age of 11 taught Tyree the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Chubby and barely able to swim all four strokes on day one, Tyree quickly caught up to his peers. Seven years later... An Honorary Bachelor Degree recipient and member of the 257th Graduating Class of Central High School in Philadelphia, PA, Tyree accepted an athletic scholarship to Towson University.

While swimming at Towson, Tyree held two leadership roles on campus; Resident Assistant and President of the Lambda Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Business in December 2005, he began an internship at a start-up web development firm in Baltimore, Maryland.

Work Experience...
In addition to knowledge gained in the classroom, he began to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, web application development, and website/database integration. To date, a majority his web development experience has included developing and implementing Content Management Systems for websites. And with this, has a working knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, SQL, Access, and Flash (just to name a few). Navigating multiple operating systems and software packages came easily, as Tyree is able to rapidly adapt to any new environment (software or physical).

Seven months after graduation, Tyree moved to Shanghai, China, where he taught English at the Shanghai Finance University. This move served multiple purposes; 1. achieving his goal of living in a foreign country, 2. achieving his goal of using a foreign language effectively, 3. allowing him to network in one of the world's dominant business centers.

Post China...
Tyree has returned to web development, completing projects for such clients as Maryland Public Television, Morgan State University, The International Headquarters for The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, as well as numerous small businesses nationwide.

In July 2008, Tyree Co-Founded and Launched USAHomeRaffle.com, which has since become the premier online location for information on home raffles in the country. Tyree and the development team also boast achieving top Google rankings for the site.

In the Community...
A big believer in using your talents to help others achieve their goals, Tyree is currently gaining further cross-cultural communication skills while teaching GED Prep classes at The Learning Bank of C.O.I.L. to students ages 16-65.
